Our New Understanding Dementia Course is Live on the 1st June!

Positive Ageing Consultancy and Training are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new course called Understanding Dementia, available online now! This course is perfect for behaviour analysts who are interested in behavioural work with people with dementia, and is a great source of foundational knowledge before progressing to learn about behavioural interventions for this population. 

In our Understanding Dementia course you will learn about the definition and types of dementia, as well as the progression and diagnosis, and why this knowledge of the behavioural profiles for each type of dementia is important for behaviour analysts working with clients with this diagnosis. We’ll also go through the diagnostic criteria for dementia, looking at how these can be reconceptualised from a behaviour-analytic perspective. We’ll then look at the research that supports our understanding of dementia from a behaviour-analytic perspective and what this all means for working clinically with older adults with dementia. 

Upon successful completion of the course, you will earn 3 BACB learning CEUs.
